X Crow Helen's CX bike for 06/07
I have three identical bikes for this 2006/7 season and have been provided by Guerciotti - they are the prettiest bikes I have ever had

The frame is called a X Crow and is a full carbon frame. The frame weighs ess than 1.4kg.

Dura-ace groupset   I use shimano Dura-ace 10 speed equipment with a Taya chain.

Shimano spd pedal   I use SPD PD-M959 pedals. They are double sided and have a lot of clearance in the pedal to reduce the amount of mud that can gather during a race.

This year I have been converted to Selle Italia SLR saddles and my cyclo-cross bike has the prettiest saddle in the world with pink roses on it!! Plus for any one who thinks about these things it weighs just 125grams!!
schwalbe tyres   I use schwalbe CX pro light 700 x 32C tyres on ksyrium wheels.
think the most important aspect of a cyclo-cross bike is the wheels. I have quite a few sets of wheels each with differing tyres and tubs to use in different conditions. The advantage of tubs is that you can run them at a lower pressure to give you more grip and when you puncture you can still ride them without them falling off the rim (as I found out at the Europeans last year!!!)

I have 3 cyclo-cross bikes all of which are set up identically so when I swap bikes during a race there are no differences. My bikes are provided for me by Fat Birds Don’t Fly bike shop, Hunstanton (www.fatbirds.co.uk).

The teams tyres and tubs are supplied by Schwalbe and the chains by Taya chains.
