IN EARLY 2018 I LAUNCHED THE #HELEN100, A PLAN TO RAISE £2500 TO PAY FOR THE ENTRIES FOR 100 WOMEN RIDERS UNDER THE AGE OF 23 INTO THE 2019 UK NATIONAL CYCLOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS. THIS WAS FULLY FUNDED AND MORE DETAILS CAN BE SEEN OVER AT JUSTGIVING.

NOW I'M LOOKING FOR THOSE 100 RIDERS WHO WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE A FREE ENTRY.  THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THIS WILL BE OVERSUBSCRIBED AND NOT ALL APPLICANTS WITH RECEIVE A PLACE, BUT I'D LIKE TO START (AND FINISH) THE PROCESS AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE AS I WANT TO BE HERE BETWEEN NOW AND THE CHAMPIONSHIPS TO PROVIDE ANY HELP AND ADVICE I CAN TO HELP MAKE YOUR PARTICIPATION AS SUCCESS.

IF YOU'D LIKE TO BE CONSIDER FOR A FREE PLACE, PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW FORM AND I WILL BE IN TOUCH AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

HELEN 100 UPDATE - 8 MAY 2018

It’s been a fun time seeing so many young cyclocross riders applying for places in the Helen 100, giving them a free place in the 2019 UK National Championships.

Today we have announced a further 10 riders in the U23 race, which brings the total riders in that race up to 60.  The significance of this is that’s now double the entry of last season’s championships.

We have also confirmed two more u16 riders today, who bring the confirmed entry up to 25 riders, which means we have already matched the 2018 entry in that category.

In the U14 Category, we have confirmed 22 riders so far, and we hope to have many more added.  Last year there were 37 rider.

Riders in any category can still apply but places are currently limited although there will be more than the target of 100 that we set out to fund.  If anyone has fund strategy ideas, please share them with me.  I want to ensure this is an annual event, and I’d love to be able to roll this out into other countries and provide opportunities for mentorship and coaching for riders.  As ever in women’s cycling, sustainable funding paths are one of the biggest hurdles.

List of all rider confirm as of 8 May 2018 are below:
